3 Pet-Friendly Vineyards to Explore on Long Island

Just because you’re spending a day exploring Long Island wineries doesn’t mean you need to leave your pup at home!

One of the unique perks of Long Island’s wine country is that several wineries are pet-friendly. So as long as your pet stays leashed and well-behaved, then they can join you on your journey. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy all the scenic vineyards and sunny picnic areas, all day, without worrying about rushing back home to care for your furry companion.

Our guide to Long Island Wineries makes it easy to find pet-friendly wineries throughout the North Fork. But here are three to get you started:

Jason’s Vineyard

Dog owners love Jason’s Vineyard because it’s very welcoming to pets! This popular pet-friendly winery in Jamesport invites you to bring your pup to the comfortable outdoor picnic area. Jason’s is one of the most established wineries on Long Island (founded in 1996), so it’s a great place to stop on your wine tour.

Paumanok Vineyards

Just a few minutes down the road from Jason’s, Paumanok Vineyards is a beautiful 127-acre vineyard where pets are welcome during the week (Monday through Friday only). The winery has a grassy area with cozy Adirondack chairs and tables, where you can enjoy the scenic views with your pup by your side.

Osprey's Dominion

On the eastern end of the North Fork, Osprey’s Dominion is another popular destination for those who want to enjoy their wine with their pets. You can savor Osprey’s wines as you explore the large picnic area with your pup – just be sure to keep your pet leashed and in the outdoor areas only. Osprey’s is also one of the few wineries that allow you to bring your own picnic lunch.
