Sparkling Pointe Vineyards & Winery (Southold)
A breezy and beautiful North Fork winery, Sparkling Point is acclaimed for its 40 acres of stunning vineyards and estate-grown sparkling wines, which are crafted exclusively in the traditional Méthode Champenoise. A lovely outdoor patio space is one of the defining features of Mattebella Vineyards, creating the perfect atmosphere for enjoying fine wines and delicious food. Mattebella is an artisanal producer of old-world, Bordeaux-style wines, crafted with sustainable practices and a commitment to environmentally-friendly farming. A rustic indoor tasting cottage, housed inside an early twentieth-century barn, offers additional space for experiencing everything Mattebella has to offer.

A unique differentiator about Croteaux is that it produces only rosé wines, and it’s the only winery in the United States to do so, according to its website. Meadowlark North Fork (Cutchogue)
One of the newer destinations on the North Fork wine trail, Meadowlark offers a stunning 20-acre property with limited wines produced by Macari Vineyards, another iconic winemaker of the North Fork. The property features “sweeping naturalistic gardens surrounding two modern farmhouse-inspired buildings,” including tasting rooms, outdoor decks and patio spaces that can also be used for special occasions and events.
What to know:
- The Wine Bar is a modified tasting room that offers unique selections of the Macari wine portfolio by the glass or bottle.
- Focus is on “limited wines and innovative winemaking techniques” from Macari that are available only at the Meadowlark property.

Pellegrini Vineyards (Cutchogue)
The story behind this iconic vineyard is as compelling as the wines. Bob and Joyce Pellegrini established the winery in 1991 after seeing the potential of the North Fork region. They were among the early pioneers of the Long Island wine community. Today, Pellegrini Vineyards produces 10,000 cases of wine annually and offers a beautiful two-story, cathedral-like tasting room that celebrates the spaciousness and beauty of the rural surroundings.

McCall Wines (Cutchogue)
Experience the rural, rustic wonder of Cutchogue at this acclaimed winery, which encompasses more than 100 acres and includes one of the largest Pinot Noir vineyards on the East Coast. McCall offers a relaxing outdoor atmosphere and the wines are considered by many to be the best on the North Fork. Just west of Mattituck, Ev&Em offers a majestic setting for enjoying a glass of wine, complete with an expansive outdoor deck and beautiful views overlooking a 40-acre vineyard. Macari Vineyards (Mattituck)
A trip to Macari Vineyards in Mattituck feels like you’re stepping into paradise. It’s one of the largest vineyards on Long Island – nearly 500 acres of lush vines and farmland, situated next to a modern, wood-beamed tasting room with barrel cellar. The large vineyard naturally enables Macari to produce a wide variety of wines, but also it means the views are expansive. A visit during the warm, breezy months can only be described as breathtaking.

A relative newcomer to the North Fork, RGNY brings a rich Mexican heritage to its vineyards and winemaking practices. This family-owned winery has roots in Parras, Coahuila Mexico, one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the Americas, where the Rivero González family cultivated the land for a quarter century. Guests will appreciate the unique authenticity that RGNY brings to its wines and tasting experiences, which throughout the year include specially curated events and wine-pairing dinners.

A beautifully renovated potato barn creates the cozy setting at Clovis Point Vineyard. Located in Laurel, which some say creates a unique microclimate influenced by the nearby Peconic Bay, Clovis features a 10-acre vineyard with a rustic tasting room and covered patio. Jason’s Vineyard (Jamesport)
Don’t be fooled by the unassuming name of this vineyard in Jameson. Named after both the founder Jason Damianos and the ancient Greek mythological hero, Jason’s Vineyard is one of the most established and respected wineries on Long Island. Founded in 1996, this 20-acre vineyard offers a beautiful setting for wine tastings, live music and private events. Jason’s Vineyard pioneered the dense spacing of vines that other North Fork wineries now replicate, which reduces grape yields but intensifies flavors.

Terra Vite (Jamesport)
The mantra at Terra Vite is “Una cena senza vino è come un giorno senza sole,” or translated from Italian: “A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine.” This 3-acre family-owned vineyard may be small compared to other wineries on this list, but it has plenty to offer. Infusing Italian roots into their operation, owners Jacqui and Greg Goodale have created a welcoming space that strives to “transport guests to the same place of pure happiness that [the owners] enter on each visit to Italy.”

One of the oldest vineyards in the North Fork, Jamesport Vineyard has a rich history that dates back to the mid-1980s. Duck Walk North Fork (Southold)
Duck Walk Vineyards is one of the most well-known wineries on Long Island, in part because it’s one of the few wineries in The Hamptons. However, in 2007 Duck Walk opened a second location in Southold, bringing its acclaimed wines to the North Fork. The Southold vineyard features 30 beautiful acres of Sauvignon Blanc grape vines, a spacious tasting room and large outdoor seating area with live music on the weekends.

Baiting Hollow Farm Vineyard has quietly become one of the most talked about wineries on the North Fork in recent years, thanks to its relaxed and friendly vibe, fun outdoor space and of course: great wine. Baiting Hollow hosts live music throughout the summer, featuring some of Long Island’s best entertainers. Corey Creek has a younger, fresher and more minimalist vibe than some of its neighboring North Fork wineries, which many visitors find refreshing. Rosé wines are most prominent, but with each new vintage, Corey Creeks creates “something new that wasn’t produced the season before.”

Located in the heart of Peconic, Osprey’s Dominion is a 90-acre vineyard comprised of carmenere, pinot gris and sauvignon blanc. Duck Walk is another iconic Hamptons winery that was established in 1994 and operates a second location on the North Fork, which opened in 2007.
